The Lord came and stood there. He called as he had before. He said, “Samuel, Samuel!” Samuel said, “Speak, Lord. I am your servant, and I am listening.” – 1 Samuel 3:10 ICB
Our relationship with God shouldn’t be a one-way communication. Our conversations with Him shouldn’t always be at our convenience. While having a daily habit of prayer time set aside for Him is important, we have to be ready and listening when He calls. We have to be willing to serve according to HIS timing.
Whether we are in bed asleep like Samuel, or in the middle of a big project,
we have to have our hearts and our minds in the right place so when He calls, we can answer.
Speak to me God.
I’m here.
I’m listening God.
And I’m ready to serve you.
