“Show me your paths and teach me to follow;”
Psalms 25:4 CEV
Our job isn’t to decide what path to take. Our job is to follow the path that He has already set for us. How many times have we wondered, “What is this plan? How am I supposed to know what to do next?”
When we feel lost or unsure of our next step, we can use this verse as a prayer to ask God to guide us on our journey. When we feel like we have lost momentum, and we don’t seem to be moving forward, we can ask Him to teach us His will for our lives.
When we request his teaching, we must commit to learning. If we want to experience His plans for our lives, we have to surrender the plans that we ourselves have already made, and follow His path.
When I’m uncertain of the next step that I should take, I will begin my prayer with the TPT version of this verse (in quotation marks.)
“Lord, direct me throughout my journey so I can experience your plans for my life. Reveal the life-paths that are pleasing to you.” Psalms 25:4 TPT
I want to know your will so that I can fulfill it. Please guide my steps today so that I may move forward on the path You have set for me. Amen
